<\/span>THE POLITICS BEHIND THE COVID-19 RESPONSES<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

As of October 2020, the world is still being severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, countries decided to impose several measures to contain the virus. These measures include: complete lockdowns, shelters-in-place, and social distancing. Although these preventive actions have proven to be effective and necessary, problems have also emerged as a result of their implementation.<\/span><\/div>\n
The economy is slowing down, and experts agree that the COVID-19 pandemic has not only had a massive impact on the global economy but also negatively affected the social life and mental health of many. Moreover, the pandemic affects various people and groups differently and increases already existing inequalities, prejudices, and violence. Societies are vulnerable in times of crises, and policymakers have to decide how to battle the virus while minimizing the social and economic consequences of the pandemic.<\/span><\/div>\n
We, therefore, call on scholars to engage with these issues and concerns related to COVID-19. Of particular interest are topics that fall within the broader ambit of Conflict, Justice, and Decolonization. We accept scholarly articles, conference reviews, documented interviews, and reviews of relevant movies or books.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Please note that scholars are also welcomed to submit topics not related to COVID-19 but respond to our main concern: Conflict, Justice, and Decolonization.<\/p>\n

<\/span>The articles\u2019 length should be between 2,000 to 3,000 words for English papers and 3,000 to 4,500 characters for papers written in Mandarin.<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/span>Interested contributors are requested to fill out the application form provided by ICCS. Link to the application form: http:\/\/forms.gle\/Zy4gx2fCFzQt8UpP8<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/span>The abstracts\u2019 length should be 300 – 400 words for English papers and 450 – 600 characters for papers written in Mandarin. FULL-TEXT ARTICLE IS NOT REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION.<\/p>\n
