ICCS Thematic Special Issues: Global Supply Chains, International Labour Migration and Migrant Workers (2019–2026) — Migration, Unequal Citizens, and Critical Legal Studies

We are pleased to share the ICCS Thematic Special Issue, jointly published by the International Center for Cultural Studies (ICCS) and the School of Law at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University(NYCU).

Bringing together research and activities from 2019 to 2026, this publication highlights ICCS’s work on migration, inequality, and cross-border rights, with a particular focus on migrant workers, refugees, stateless persons, and unequal citizenship.
The special issue covers six key thematic areas:

▸ Migrant Worker Regimes and Transnational Labor Governance
▸ Migrant Fishers and Human Rights at Sea
▸ Global Supply Chains and Forced Labor
▸ Refugees, Statelessness, and Unequal Citizenship
▸ COVID-19 and Migrant Workers
▸ Migrant Worker Art and Cultural Activism

Together, these contributions reflect a shared commitment to connecting research, dialogue, and action, while working towards a more inclusive, equitable, and mutually supportive society.

We invite you to explore and share this publication and to join the ongoing conversation on migrant workers’ rights, transnational migration, and social justice.
