This study investigates the Facebook posts and photographs of Filipino–German women who migrated to Germany through marriage, with particular attention to how they appropriate the platform’s visual affordances to construct and foreground their imaginaries of mobility and belonging. Drawing on migration history, ethnographic methods, and perspectives from mobility studies, the research situates these digital practices within broader socio–cultural and legal contexts. It argues that Facebook serves as a crucial site for the curation of self–representation, where these women narrate identities that are simultaneously mobile, cosmopolitan, and transnational. Despite operating within the constraints of Germany’s stringent immigration policies, Filipino–German women actively negotiate and perform their subjectivities through visual and textual content. Furthermore, the study highlights how such digitally mediated representations circulate as aspirational models, shaping migration imaginaries and influencing future marriage migration trajectories among Filipinos. In this way, the research underscores the interplay between digital media, identity formation, and transnational mobility.
